Information technology works. And works on 64 fleck MacOS.

Toast Fire works for copying unprotected DVDs and CDs. That's non asking a lot, but it is harder than it should be to observe an app that really works.
The more surprising news is that Roxio has updated it to work in 64 bit MacOS - all apps MUST support 64 bit operation to piece of work on the electric current MacOS. Another Roxio products, such equally the Titanium Toast, which was rather expensive, Practise NOT work on 64 chip MacOS, and that is very disapppointing.

Groovy! Has multi-disc spanning

I was looking for days for a called-for app that has spanning so I could backup all of my photos (and store them in a fireproof safe as a backup to my external HDD), significant that yous tin can throw an entire folder no matter how large into information technology, and it'll burn information technology to multiple discs automatically. I used Disco starting time, which was free but unsupported since 2011. Disco did the job for a while, but it ruined equally many DVDs equally it burned, and it simply refused to work with dual layer dics.

I tried to notice a feature list for Roxio Toast Fire that said it had spanning, but for some reason that doesn't exist. So I'm telling y'all hither, it DOES have spanning, which is a surprisingly rare characteristic. If that's what you're looking for, you'll need to spend the $20 because the free ones don't have it or aren't reliable.

Best Bang for the Buck

I had suffered with Corel'south bigger product, Toast, for years: information technology wouldn't even load on my systems because information technology kept trying to catalog my media on my production system (Tens of thousands of files) and would never finish. I didn't need that feature. At all.

Burn does what I demand (burns Blu-ray) for a fraction of the toll, but lacks features that I never used. Oh well.

Warning: simply ignore the disk spanning feature. If yous can't fit [something] on ane disk, and cannot break-up the file, put it on a spinning magnetic difficult bulldoze for back-up. Apple's motion to APFS seems to have broken spanning and left my 50GB (and larger) dorsum-ups in the trash.
